I choose to take only collaborative divorce cases for these reasons:

1. The parties control the decisions.
2. Parties maintain their privacy as a result of the contractual agreement to NOT take any contested matter to court. This is particularly important for many with the recent rise in identity theft. Court records are public records. Choosing the collaborative approach protects parties from having very private information go public.
3. The parties and team members control the schedule of meetings. This works better not only for my client's family, but for mine as well.
